"No disabled parking unless you pay an extra £30 night for valet parking. Poor service ordering hot food at breakfast, not enough staff taking orders. Restaurant not clean, skirting areas dusty and walls marked. Cost of room per night not reflected in the quality of service generally. A smile and a pleasant welcome costs nothing - but mostly lacking in staff. Disappointed."

"Nice clean and well appointed room. Friendly staff. Parking a hassle though - there's a small car park over the road which was full each evening, leaving on street (in a bit of a dodgy location) or other paid parking nearby. Good selection of restaurants nearby."

"Stunning building that has been maintained to stay as authentic as possible. Our room was a good size with an excellent bathroom, full size bath, real treat. The room had everything we needed for our short break. Decent sized tv, tea and coffee facilities and amazingly a small container of real milk, bath robes, small fridge. Ok, there isn’t air conditioning but I suspect it wouldn’t be allowed planning permission on such an iconic building. Fans are provided. Personally I would have liked it if...

"The venue looks beautiful visually you think it’s the place to visit, if you are late visitor, you know flying into Manchester and in need of food after 9pm then don’t expect anything, no room service which I found a little odd given the size of the hotel, no food availabe in house until the morning but they tell you that you can get Deliveroo…. or you can drive and find a restaurant. Very poor.. You leave the next day and the front desk doesn’t even say thank you, they just take your money"

"The main Hall is beautiful, well preserved and awe-inspiring. The staff could not have been more helpful especially Naila in reception who went far beyond her job description. The location of the breakfast server in the extensive new block was a bonus."

"Hotel ideally situated at Motorway junction so very easy access, however no greenery around it so nowhere relaxing to chill outside after a long journey. The fancier of the building is beginning to look a little run down as the woodwork needs replacing in many areas. However the pool & gym facilities are excellent & staff friendly & helpful, so for this alone I would return."
