"Truly cannot recommend this resort enough. Everyone was so kind, accommodating, and ensured our entire family had a wonderful time. From the welcome cool towel and cocktail, to making sure our glasses were full by the pool and on the beach, to stopping us on our way back to our room to make sure we had everything we needed. All of the restaurants on the resort are AMAZNG. Making the reservations was kind of a pain but so worth it. Some of the best meals our family has eaten. It never felt too crowded, and you could relax or party as much or as little as you wanted. There were some peddlers on the beach, but there were never too much of a nuisance. All around our family cannot wait for our next trip here to enjoy the luxury and experience. "We stayed at FDR exactly 1 year ago and my children still bring it up every single week. The facility is very humble so if you’re looking for white walls and glass everything this is not for you. But if you want a humble quaint environment where the staff makes you feel like family give FDR a shot. My kids (11,9,5) loved the water slide and our nanny Tamara. They still talk about how much they miss her often. Shenille did the boat tours. He was so kind and gracious and took us multiple times to fish, spear fish and snorkel. He even coordinated for the chefs to cook the fish we caught for us straight from the ocean. You see the owner, Christian, often and every time he remembers you and your name and is truly invested is your experience at his hotel. The food: it was different than most all inclusive experiences in that there is a menu and it’s not a free for all buffet but that did not bother us as they are very accommodating. I have a gluten allergy and they made me a special dinner similar to my families every single meal. Everything is fresh and hot as they cook it specifically for you. We did not have a single thing we did not like. The thing about this hotel that is unlike any other is the location. The snorkeling in unmatched. Bring a mask and snorkel. We saw every single sea animal you can imagine right off the beach. Even dolphins on our last morning at breakfast. This hotel and Jamaica will forever have a piece of our hearts. "
