"The staff was wonderful. Servers like Floribert and Betti were so kind and helpful during breakfast. Aimee (both of them), Rebecca, and all of the members of the concierge made life easier for us. The driver Antone was great when taking us where we needed to go on thw free shuttle services, as well as being helpful for our family who were not guests of the hotel. "It was a short staycation for my hubby’s bday. Over all everything was great. Except the sauna and steam room wasn’t working. There wasn’t any cocktails available by the pull side. And our couples massage wasn’t the best we’ve had. Aside those little things, everything else made his bday great."

"Overall, this was a beautiful, relaxing place to stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My one complaint was communication before my arrival. I emailed and would wait for a few days and needed to send a message via WhatsApp for a response. I had arranged a market tour and cooking class weeks on advance, but it felt like those running the cooking class were not prepared for the start time."

"So yes this was 100% a white lotus type experience. That said. The service was impeccable. We went to kinigi for gorilla trekking and Sambora coordinated every detail beyond the permits. They did everything from finding the right outerwear to finding us a great driver. Meals were delicious. We sat every night at a long table with other guests which was fun - we were traveling as a couple so was nice to mix it up. But yes. White lotus. Just be prepared."

"Our stay at Grotta Resort was very comfortable and the staff were amazing. It’s very convenient if you want to do Gorilla trekking. We were picked up and dropped off at Kigali by the resort, our driver Enock really looked after us and made sure we arrived at our destinations."
