"Although the host was charming, the accommodation was not. The room was so small, you had to squeeze around the bed to get to the bath. There was a table and 2 chairs wedged between the bed and the wall. What once was a closet housed a toaster, coffee maker and small fridge. ‘Breakfast’ was a do it yourself in the room with packaged rolls, slices of bread, two cartons of yogurt, juice and milk. "Lovely hotel, attentive and friendly staff. Room was clean and very comfortable. We had the family suite which was amazing. Lacked coathangers but other than that it was fantastic. Breakfast was gorgeous and we ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was excellent. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others."

"Great secure parking. Staff were friendly abd room was spotless. Good selection of tea / coffee / biscuits. Window a little worse for wear! But had a good nights sleep. Brekafast was good but the granola was all stuck together in one lump in the container and some products slow to be replenished. All in all Good value for the money it must be said."

"Enjoyable third one night stay over recent years near to Christmas as a stopover to visit relatives in Oakham. Christmas trees and lights decorations looking good. Good view of Rutland Water and easy access to it through the gardens"
