Djorff Palace

"Djorff Palace is an amazing hotel, with high ceilings and intricate wood work and each room or suite is individually decorated. Backing onto the Nile, it features a free shuttle boat to the east bank and from there it is easy to visit the Karnak and Luxor temples and the Luxor Museum. The staff are very accommodating and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our host who was very knowledgeable about the country and the people. She booked transit for us to and from the hotel, and to the Valley of the Kings and Queen Hetshepsat’s temple as well as a super Hot Air Ballon trip. The streets to the palace are very narrow or crowded and we were happy to have such competent drivers so we could just enjoy the surroundings Meals, served in the pool side restaurant under a sun shade that always seemed to have a light breeze and of course views of the Nile, were very good and the dinner menu changed daily. All in all, our stay at Djorff Palace was one of the highlights of our trip."

"Booked private tours through the hotel with Hany before we arrived he is an absolute gentleman. Couldn’t do enough for us. Would definitely recommend booking through him. The tour guide we had was mairead (probably spelt wrong) was extremely knowledgeable and lovely as was Michael our driver. The hotel is undergoing renovations but that can’t be held against them. We were in room 402 with a front Nile view and it was amazing. We got to watch the sunset every night and would have sun on the balcony in the afternoons The food in the main restaurant for breakfast was very good with a good selection as was the buffet at dinner We ate in Beban their Italian it was ok but to be honest the food in the buffet was nicer Good sandwiches in the Lotus cafe Any staff we encountered were always polite and helpful special shout out to the housekeeping staff who cleaned our room daily and did an excellent job Would highly recommend and hopefully we will be back"

"This hotel is amazing. Great staff, service , food, drinks and pool. It's great value - very clean. We stayed at the property 3 nights. They were so helpful. Our room was very nice had a little patio. Pool was clean. A very nice place. We will be back."

"Perfect location to get picked up on your Nile cruise, or even to stay for a few nights, it’s that great here. Pool was amazing, staff was super helpful and nice. Great view of the Nile from our room and from the pool. Go to the Egyptian/international restaurant over the Italian restaurant."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This hotel was truly wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I felt like my own brother was welcoming me into his home. Mahmoud was fantastic 🌟The hospitality was warm, genuine, and unforgettable. The hotel has such beautiful, authentic Egyptian character. It’s not about luxury or being fancy—it’s about art, history, and feeling connected to the culture. Every corner has something special. The Wi-Fi was 10/10, which was honestly something I had struggled to find during my trip. And the Egyptian breakfast was delicious! The falafel, eggs, fries, vegetables, and all the different flavors were such a wonderful experience. Thank you for making my stay so special. I will be coming back to Egypt next year, and I will definitely stay at Cleopatra Hotel again. ❤️🇪🇬"
