"We had a great couple of nights at the GHL Hotel Lago Titicaca. We arrived fairly late following a long drive from Chivay so were glad to be able to get a good meal in the restaurant, as the main Puno town is 15 minutes' taxi ride away. The same restaurant is used for breakfast, which was an excellent buffet with plenty of coffee available.
We had a sunrise lake view room which was wonderful - pulling the curtains open at 05:30 and watching the sun come up from under the duvet was a great way to start our long day out on Lake Titicaca visiting Taquile and the reed islands.
Staff all super friendly and helpful; thanks especially to the front desk team who tried to track down a lost item at my previous hotel.
Given the hotel's location away from Puno town centre, I'd say it's best for visitors who are here for a couple of nights to see Lake Titicaca before heading on to Cusco or other parts of Peru. If you're a traveller visiting Puno for longer, being closer to town might be preferable, though taxis are cheap and plentiful."
