"This hotel is in a perfect location for what I needed. It is a beautiful well maintained property. The room is spotless and comfortable. My view of one of the castles is amazing. The staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful. Bar service and food were very good. "

"Very friendly staff with easy check in/out. Room is large with large bathroom. Comfy pillows and comforter. Had door to balcony with table/chairs. Bistro was glass enclosed with castle view. Horse carriage pickup is right outside the hotel. Town is very crowded during the day with bus tours but cleared out by 5. Public bathroom is 1 euro and disgusting. Both men and woman used either one, the floor are wet (didn’t rain!) but the worst is the smell that hits you after you pay the euro to enter. If you can wait til the hotel then do!! "

"We came to tour the castles and this was the perfect spot lace to stay. Great hotel restaurant. Large grocery store right next door. Short walk to train. Very spacious and clean room. "

"Just steps from the train station! Desk clerk was nervous about her English; we pointed out that our German is zero. Looking over her shoulder, I noticed a glass doored refrigerator, with beer. We'd just got off a long train trip (four trains, and a couple alternate itineraries due to impossible connection times). She sold us a large bottle of dunkel and opened it for us at the desk. Our moods immediately improved! Breakfast was good and extensive. Dining room is very nice. Actually, everything about this place was nice. I booked at the last minute, found this hotel and paid more than I had budgeted. I'd recommend it though. "

"First class hotel all the way around! Clean, comfortable, quiet, in a picturesque village. The staff was amazing, room spacious well appointed, at a central and convenient location. Do not pass on the breakfast buffet!"

"This is a great boutique hotel with novel decor and comfortable beds. No service and self check in/out, although there was a young lady there when we checked in using the kiosk. It was good she was there because our credit card would not do touchless payment for the amount of the bill and she was able to use a chip card reader. If she wasn't there, I don't know what we would have done. Better to pay ahead. Info about braakfast was there, but none was actually offered. No one was there until cleaning ladies showed up later. Fuessen is a nice little town. Great restuarants around and gelato. The castles are of course the reason to visit this part of Bavaria. Hohen Schwangau is kuch better than Neu Schwanstein. They actually tell you a lot about the king and filt. At Neu Schwanstein, the tours are now nothing like they were 8 years ago. It is a rush to cram as many people through as fast as possible and you don't have time to look at anything and they tell you hardly anything. It used to be so good. This hotel should band with others in Fuessen to change that or tourism will go down when people learn how bad it has become. Hotel was great, Schwanfau was great. Schwanstein was awful. This was my third, and last, time to the area. Too bad, it used to be a great romantic place ro visit. "
