"The hotel is quite new & the lakefront property is beautiful. Room was very clean & quiet. Bed was super comfy. The Cove had delicious food, especially the meatball appetizer. Only complaint was they needed more help. We went back for dessert and the bartender ended up waiting on us. He was very sweet. Otherwise we would’ve waited forever. Then the next morning, when attempting to go in for breakfast, we were ignored for a long time while trying to check in. We ended up going elsewhere."

"The room had a tub that was disgusting. Instead of resolving the staff commented the housekeeping was gone for the day and it was probably the "pipes". Service - we were 9 minutes early for dinner on the Castle and they refused to seat us so we stood there until 6:30. There were plenty of empty tables! Our server was gone most of the meal and I had to get another server to find her. Front desk personnel were dismissive and rude. Not a good overall experience and I would no lat recommend this...

Overheard the staff talking that there is a shortage of housekeepers. Guests should be informed of this fact as we were not. The side exterior door handle was broken as was the cylinder that closes it so it slammed all night long. The door would not lock thus making a security concern. "Beautiful Victorian home very close to town. We did not have breakfast but fresh homemade cookies were left out for guests to enjoy and they were the best I've ever eaten! Will definitely stay again when we are in the area. "
