Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa

"Overall enjoyed the stay at this resort. The room, location and staff were all great. The amenities are handy, the rooms are generally clean including the bedding and towels, the reef views and variety of activities available daily made it a great place to say. The only downside was the restaurant. And unfortunately this was a massive let down. It took a long time in the evening before staff would take an order for food & drinks. One night it took over 40 minutes for us to get a round of drinks ( a single bottle of wine with 2 glasses I ordered at the bar myself after not being able to flag down a staff member), the bar tender said they would bring it to the table so I waitedanother 15 minutes I returned back to the bar to get it myself. The whole process from ordering drinks and food to receiving drinks and food took about an hour and a half. Service (outside of the breakfast buffet) would take roughly an hour before. The food, when it did arrive was always average. This included undercooked fries and pizzas, old rice and bland dishes. Breakfast buffet was hit and miss too, literally 50/50. A couple of the days I stayed it was great and a couple the scrambled eggs were watery and wet or there were multiple whole yokes not mixed it. We were lucky enough to have had a hire car so we were easily able to explore other venues for food."

"We stayed at lagoon Bure with family. It had a serene relaxed atmosphere, with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, very clean toilet and shower facilities. The home made cookies provided every day were extra special. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant meals were superb, cocktails were amazing. We went for long walks around the resort which was quite refreshing. Kids went for snorkelling and kayaking. Overall it was an amazing experience."

"We had am amazing holiday with family and friends. Gorgeous beaches, friendly and helpful staff, a spacious and picturesque resort. Garden Bure accommodation was perfect for our family of 4. We loved riding around on the beach cruiser bikes and eating options were great! Perfect for families with children. We took two trips, snorkelling with turtles was our favourite. Loved every minute and keen to return at some stage. 10/10 and highly recommended"

"We really enjoyed the food! Dinner at the Tree Top restaurant was excellent. The Buffet food on the Fijian night was just yum! Staff were super friendly and eager to help at all times…kids enjoyed the snorkelling and kayaking. Would love to return back!"

"There was leak in the room, they never followed up regarding this issue, they removed the rug affected by water leak and left a mess in the floor, didn’t bother cleaning the floor."

"The Marriott was fantastic. The rooms and property are a dream. My only criticism is that the buffet didn’t quite match the rest of the experience. It wasn’t bad; it simply wasn’t as exceptional as buffets I’ve had elsewhere. Even so, the Marriott is well worth the price. The nearby Hilton is a different story. Although it costs less, the experience was a top-to-bottom mess: a cockroach in the room, an air conditioner that was never fixed, lackluster service, the grounds are parched, and the breakfast buffet had very limited choices, mostly packaged foods and just one bottled salad dressing, salad had rotting vegetables, and nearly raw bacon. Win with Marriott"

"The resort is a serene paradise, the staff were extremely friendly and the views were incredible everywhere. The reef wing (adults only) is worth the upgrade as some rooms are slightly dated. The amenities, views, and friendly staff make this resort. The massage was also incredible. The downsides were the communication, we had to ask three times for synthetic bedding as I am allergic to feathers. When we got a late check out the housekeepers out kept knocking to see if we were checking out. We also changed rooms and I accidentally left some belongings in the room and the housekeeper threw them out which was frustrating. Overall I would recommend to stay in the reef wing."
