"We stayed twice on our visit to Utrecht. Once w/o breakfast and once with. The breakfast was very good. The eggs were fresh cooked and there was a good variety of food, nice breakfast sandwich selection, too. The room was nice, mostly clean with a few icky spots on the walls. Bathroom doors were heavy and couldn't be left open. Easy walk to get to tram. Nice place to stay! "

"Super fijn hotel op een top locatie in Utrecht. Al het personeel was super vriendelijk en hielp meteen waar ze konden! De kamer was heerlijk en voorzien van alles wat je nodig had. Enige nadeel was dat de airco op 18 graden alsnog voor een warme kamer zorgde. Maar al met al zeker aan te raden! "

"Lovely hotel in quieter part of town but still close to amenities. Great view over road to Town Hall and only short, tree-lined walk to Slot. Staff really friendly and helpful, food in restaurant and for breakfast is good quality and great range of drinks available in the bar. Our only slight criticsm was the noise level in the room at night - we were on the top floor and there is a constant humming of equipment (don't think it was the heating) and the guttering on the roof was quite noisy when...

"This is a great location for either hopping on one short bus ride to get into the city or train station or to get on the highway to explore other parts of the Netherlands."

"Kurzer Trip, um den Sohn im Studium zu besuchen. Daher hatten wir ohne Frühstück 2 Nächte zum wiederholten mal gebucht. Wie immer war es sehr sauber und sehr gut fanden wie die optionale Zimmerreinigung. Macht imo bei 2 Tagen eh keinen Sinn. Für "Fußkranke" ist das Hotel aber nur bedingt etwas"

"W hi at an incredible surprise when we checked in. So much greater than the pics The History of the place, and all the amenities. The room was spectacular looking over the park and canal. So peaceful. Yet it was so close to everything. This was the crown jewel in our visit to Netherlands. We fell in love with Utrecht. I will recommend Karel-V as top place to stay. The staff were so helpful getting us to the hotel when we got lost. Sent a taxi for us. Thankyou so much for such a memorable time."
