"Very comfortable hotel. The fluorescent lighting in the room is harsh and potentially uncomfortable for some people. The complimentary breakfast is satisfactory. Instant oatmeal is available but cooked oatmeal wood be much more satisfying and healthier."

"Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!"

"Staying in room 210 felt a bit like guest-starring in that Seinfeld episode where Kramer can’t escape the glare of a neon sign. There’s a very enthusiastic outdoor light right outside the window that keeps the room glowing well past bedtime, makes true darkness impossible. To be fair, the room itself was clean and looked like it had a recent refresh, so credit where it’s due. If they added better blackout curtains, it would make a big difference."

"Properly is fine , staff fine, breakfast ok, sheets and pillows great. Only problem is it’s musty in the room, Smells bad as soon as door is opened and the door entry to outside slams shut with each opening. It sounded like above us they rearranged the furniture but settled down. Free showtime helped a little."

"The room itself was clean, lots of maintenance work was needed. The shower and bath faucet were flowing at the same time. The tub was somewhat dirty. There were outlets that needed to be fixed. The bed was comfy though. Ultimately the stay was okay. It's would have been 100% better if the front end staff were more personable. That's what makes stays more pleasant, helpful and accommodating staff."

"I've debated writing this review, but I need to say that the place is just not safe. I had to move rooms twice because the door locks didn't work and the ground-floor window wouldn't close... let alone lock. And that's not even talking about the beer bottle caps left on the room floor, the general layer of filth everywhere, the wet towels left from the previous guest, the rusted out showerhead, or the mouse poop behind the nightstand. The staff are really nice people, it's just a very dirty...
