"All of the staff looked like they had just lost their best friend and didn’t want to be there. Very unhelpful when we came with any question or concern. It was so stupid you couldn’t pay the difference so my grandson could get the item he wanted. He actually won a nice prize in the claw machine but it dropped it right before it was delivered. We told staff… they did nothing. Another machine also took his points… again nothing . Very disappointed "

"This motel is located directly across the street (Kilabrew St.) from the Mall of America. The motel has complimentary airport shuttle service, a very good breakfast, a decent small gym. It checks all the boxes, and I’ll return."

"The Canal Park Lodge is very charming! The decor is very warm and inviting. We had a lake view on third floor and it was just beautiful! We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. We enjoyed walking along the lake front. The aerial bridge that is walking distance from the hotel was an interesting site. We got to watch the bridge be raised for a barge that came through after midnight. That was a fun experience! I visited in early May 2026 with my two adult kids. We had a wonderful time."

"The room was clean, but it was interesting to find a penny on the floor by a trashcan. The hot tub was fantastic. Parking was good despite the construction around the site which will time go away. The breakfast bar was a little short on warm foods. This is my second stay here they have made significant improvement since the first time I stayed here. I would stay here again. Can’t go wrong with location and price.I’m"

"Don’t go there to have fun people in that building always ruin it you can’t even play a little music without them complaining and I had 2 noise complaints just for listening to music when it was already a bunch of other teenagers in there having fun I doubt they knocked on their doors"

"I was very disappointed to book and prepay a king room and end up with two queens. I dislike the two queens rooms- very little space outside of the beds, bad angles all around to the TV etc. I was told it was because they were “so busy”. Well, I rebooked and paid for my room choice so busy should not have mattered. Nearly $400 a night is a lot for a room type I dislike. Next, I called room service for over an hour with no answer. You can no longer order from the TV so it just was not available....

"Staff was great! The handle fell off the fridge when we got there and all the dishes were left in the dishwasher. There was only warm water for bathing no hot water. There were also no remotes for 1 of the TV’s and the fireplace didn’t work. Staff was great had someone out the next day to fix fridge handle and gave us remotes. I had high expectations at this point. I did see they discounted the 1st night stay."
