"We followed Rick Steves advice, and got there at 4 pm, watching the hordes of day tripers leave, and stayed the night. Saint Pierre was very convenient, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and quiet. You can eat right there. Staff was helpfull, but needs more up to date info on public bus to Pontorson, which actally leaves about 200 meters from the gate. "

"Staying in a room ON Mont St. Michel was amazing, a once in a life time experience. However, getting to the room was a challenge. I didn't realize I had to stop at a different location to check in before getting to my room so I drug my huge rolling suitcase to the wrong location. Left my son with his bag and mine and went back to the other location, based on the plaque on the door. Checked in and got directions but was still very confused. "Reception staff very friendly! We didn’t use the dining facilities but there was a restaurant. Clean and comfortable room and bed. This hotel is perfect if you want photos of the green fields in front of Mont St Michel as it is directly across the road. I was lucky enough to see the farmer herding his sheep early in the morning and got some great photos (both with and without the sheep).
