"The property was near the beach and has a walking path. Almost all the hotel staff and at the front desk were nice. The choice of dishes at the buffet were excellent. Most of them were delicious. And the staff at the restaurant were very obliging. My husband is a vegan. He had lots of choices and was very happy. But some at the front desk were not very helpful. "My wife and I decided to stay here after our flight arrived late at night. The address on google is totally different than the actual address. There were some miscommunications and after hours of search for the place (no signs) we ended up finding another dodgy hotel at 2:30am. "Do not do business with this hotel. This hotel cancelled my reservation without notifying me before my stay. They overbooked the entire hotel and had no more rooms left even after having a booking confirmation number and payment. They also wouldn't refund me even after I wasn't able to stay there. It took 3 weeks to get my money back after many calls with them. I wouldn't ever stay here. There is however a bungalow house nearby that I'd absolutely recommend instead of this hotel. "

"The lodge is located in a secluded area. It would be perfect for families or groups to use the entire property for themselves. As a solo traveler not so good unless you prefer solitude. Gamigi the steward who runs the property is very attentive and helpful. I had 2 good breakfast and a very good traditional Sri Lanka food for dinner. I enjoyed my brief stay. My room was very large with a large bathroom and air conditioning. It was very comfortable and quiet ;)"

Fabulous place to stay
"This hotel is grand and doesn’t disappoint. The building is beautifully restored, the rooms are comfortable and the veranda areas are perfect for relaxing by the sea. Food and drinks are good and the service excellent. Once you enter the hotel, the bustle of Colombo completely disappears. Amazing value for money. "
