"A very good hotel with an excellent breakfast and great amenities. The room we stayed in—located on the floor 0 felt a bit dated; upon entering, there was a noticeable stale odor. In the evenings, there is wonderful live music in the bar and a very pleasant atmosphere. It is an adults-only hotel, though I would say its 55+. I recommend it for a peaceful, relaxing getaway!"

"We stayed at The Vine to celebrate our 30th wedding Anniversary. We arrived hours before check-in. Not only were we checked in early, we received a room upgrade. When we entered the room, we were greeted with a welcome note and a bottle of champagne , We were able to shower and relax after traveling overnight and were totally refreshed when we began to explore Funchal!
Disaster struck during the 4th day of our stay; my wife broke her ankle requiring surgery and a short stay in a local...

"Great value and location for the price. A bit rustic and could use some renovation for the closets and paint for the hallway walls, but overall extremely clean and pleasant. Breakfast was very good."

"A good place to stay in Funchal away from the centre. The pool is very nice & the buffet breakfast has a lot of options. The beds are hard but this seems typical of Madeira. Our room was a bit untidy but again we had experienced this elsewhere too. The staff don’t really share a lot of information for example you can’t open your balcony door as it shuts off the air-conditioning or you need your key to actually exit the garage on checkout or you’re trapped in the garage. Some of these things...

"Clean, comfortable rooms with an amazing breakfast buffet. Views from rooms where amazing. Close to airport. Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms a bit dated and pool area could use a refresh but overall a great stay.
This made our canceled flight experience a bit better :-)"

"Petit hôtel (20 chambres, toutes sauf 4 ont la vue sur la mer)
Emplacement parfait, à la limite de Funchal, accès très rapide à la voie rapide.
Parking privé de l’hôtel (13 places), s'il est plain, parking facile dans la rue, il y avait plain de places vides chaque jour.
Supérette à 50m (7-21h)
Arrêt bus (N 02) pour aller au centre ville à 100m
Plage de galets en contre bas (en revenant il faut monter 65m de denivelé). Difficile de rentrer dans la mer sans les chaussure de canyoning....
