"Easy location to walk to once you arrive to Kyoto station - even with suitcases and backpacks. No cab needed as it’s barely a five minute walk. Breakfast in my opinion is a case of quantity over quality and I’ve preferred the breakfast at other places we stayed where there is not as much variety but it’s high quality. In saying that, I take my hat off to the chefs who prepare so much food every day for all the guests. It would be literally impossible to deliver that much food at a high quality...

"We had such a great stay! The hotel was located off the main streets for shopping and within walking distance of bus stops and the subway - so convenient! We loved every aspect of the stay. A beautiful lounge area in the lobby, clean rooms, and helpful service."

"The onsen is a great feature after a long walk. There were no facial skin care in the room like the other hotels in Japan. The sink is within the room so you will hear anyone brushing their teeth or blow drying."

"Rooms were clean and well kept. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast vouchers are for the Sizzler's down stairs. Getting updated coin washers and dryers would be a great help to the guests. Took us and several others hours of waiting for a dryer then hours to actually dry. Sad the Godzilla patio wasn't open. Was told that someone tried to climb up the Godzilla head so they have closed it until further notice."

"Best place for solo female traveller to stay if u wanna go around gion-uji-biwa area. It’s located infront of main road and it’s easy to spot the hotel. It’s also easy to bring your luggage from sanjo station. The room space is spacious and i really wanted to extend my stay for one day but i have other plans."
