"This place is for the adventurer at heart. If you can’t handle cabin like conditions…interfacing with the wild & the noise displayed by the night critters & beautiful birds singing their hearts away early morning, this is not for you! We even had a gecko that would pop in to have breakfast with us…he loved jelly! The host & staff are very friendly & put out an organic spread for breakfast to start your day. "This is our fourth trip to Colony 1 at Sea Mount. We stayed there in order to get to the volcano when it was erupting. It worked out well since the condo is about 30 minutes from the volcano. The unit was well taken care of, the kitchen was nice to have so we could make breakfast, since there is no restaurant on site. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to have a clothes washer too. "

"A perfect start to our Hawaii trip! After a long day of travel from the mainland, we arrived at Kona Palace and were warmly greeted by Rebecca. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. After a good night's sleep, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast served on the lanai with amazingly beautiful views. "We stayed in the Kilauea condo, which is surrounded by tropical rain forest. Very romantic. Carlos prepared a nice breakfast for the two days that we stayed. We were blessed to be there one night when Kilauea erupted. The manager texted us and we were among the first people there. Amazing experience. The only negative is that the wifi is limited so download anything you want to watch before you come or enjoy the view and read a book"
