"For the price I paid, I had lower expectation. It turned out to be a great hospitality. Rooms were cozy and spacious bathroom. They even provided complimentary breakfast, that was delicious so is the tea. The owner was humble and he had a great customer obsession. "

"This property was actually good, we need to compare this with Sri Lankan stands, hot water worked very well, the bed was a bit uncomfortable and planes flying by are perfectly heard also wifi speed poor but staff is very nice and helpful and the complimentary airport shuttle a very nice detail by the crew. "My friend and I had a 2 night stay of our 6 nights touring of Sri Lanka. As you walk through the doors you are escorted to the reception area. Check in was quick and you are escorted to your room where you are told of the amenities in the room. The room was clean, spacious and had sea views. We had a balcony with a seated area. Breakfast consisted of wide selection and my food allergies was catered for. I was impressed that the reception staff at the Tide restaurant knew my allergies and a chef would guide me on what was safe or make me something slightly different. The outdoor view from the Tide restaurant is amazing especially at sunset. The food there is very nice. The roof top area is lovely and a very nice place to sit and relax. The complimentary city tour is a bonus and a nice thought. Overall I was very impress with this hotel and I would definitely stay here again."

"Great location in Fort, excellent facilities, friendly staff. The breakfast was not included in our reservation, and it was not worth the price. Lots of options, but uneven for a four star hotel: in a tropical country, only mediocre papaya and watermelon as fruits, and industrial juices? Margherine instead of butter? And the tech side (robots for room service) is a silly gimmick."

"We had a lovely stay at Granbell Hotel Colombo. It closed out our two week stay in Sri Lanka, and was one of our highlights. The hotel itself is modern, comfortable and well located. The rooms are incredibly well suited for couples - perfectly sized and with an amazing view (if you are debating, upgrade to a sea view)! My only complaint is that the menu prices exclude VAT, and you are unaware of this until you receive your first bill! It means that the hotel is unfortunately very unreasonable for food and drink for Sri Lanka - but there are plenty of eating options in Colombo."
