"Was a great stay. I was sick while there and my host, his wife and daughter took very good care of me. Made me home made soup. Room is cozy and nice, grounds are lovely, house is right next to the river. Breakfast was made with love. "

"Jennis and his wife are extremely helpful. The hotel is clean and well kept. Not only were they able to assist in my commute to the airport and back, they were able to help me to items I needed, plan other upcoming trips and even store my luggage until my final stay before returning home. Jennis even kindly gave me a ride to the bus stop and would not even take any money!! Top notch establishment!"

"This is an excellent hotel when in transit or having early flight out of Colombo. We arrived into Colombo around midnight and our transfer driver was waiting to take us to vila diva as we had arranged which was included in the rate for our stay. The next morning we were transported very promptly back to the airport for a small fee. Both the room and transport car were exceptionally clean. I would highly recommend vila diva transit hotel for quality, service, location and friendliness"

"My highlight was meeting the owner and his wife. So knowledgeable about many things. It was a delight to talk to them and learn about the culture. This is a small hotel but it was really well kept up and very clean. The bathroom was great - a kitchen to make coffee and tea and a small breakfast if you wanted it. Not many restaurants nearby, but one that is an 8 minute walk. I chose to eat there several times (named "Coffee Boss"). Great selection of cafe drinks and a great menu of food. ...

"The hotel was oberbooked and didn’t informed us. Once we show up they try to allocate us in another horrible facilities. We try to get the refund but they didn’t allow it."

"Only gets one star because I can't give zero. I feel like all the other reviewers stayed at a different hotel. Think of this as more of an overpriced hostel than a hotel. Our arrival was an inconvenience to the porter watching Star Wars, he found our paperwork in silence, grabbed the TV and AirCon remotes and key from a cupboard and showed us to our room. "Bei meiner Ankunft war gar kein Zimmer reserviert. Habe sofort reklamiert bei ebookers und auch beim Besitzer des Riverside, der in Australien lebt. Musste 19 Tag meine Zimmer vor Ort erneut bezahlen."
