"*POOL WAS UNEXPECTEDLY CLOSED* When looking to book a hotel, a pool was a must have as I have 3 high energy kids. At check in, I see a sign on the desk stating that the pool is closed until further notice. I asked the gentleman if there's a chance it will open later that day. He said "No. It could be closed permanently". I was told that the pool has been closed for about a year. I asked if I could cancel my reservation BEFORE I pay bc we would love to have a pool. "We stayed for three days and four nights. The hotel sits back away from the any noise created by the highway expansion. The pool has a peaceful setting and was pleasant to sit by in the morning and evening. Our room was clean and comfortable. The shower curtain had some hair on it. The cleaning staff was very friendly and accommodating,providing us with extra towels and washcloths They have a water bottle filler which was very nice to have. We especially enjoyed the breakfast selections...

"$162 for a room. The room was nice and clean with a full size refrigerator, burner to cook and cooking utensils. No pool except indoor, coffee was free but the creamer that was available was a big jug of syrup and food options were minimal and refrigerated. For the price I payed for one night I definitely expected better amenities"

"My experience at the HIE was amazing. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. My room was spotless and everything I need was there. The breakfast was delicious. The only thing I would change is the bed is so high off of the floor. I'm 6ft tall and I had to jump up to get in bed."

"Overall the hotel was fine except for the excessive amount of noise. While I understand some of that is because of other guests the lack of soundproofing made for a very uncomfortable night. The hotel is clean but is definitely an older Hampton Inn and is also in need of some renovation. Staff were great and we had no other complaints."
