"Staff were extremely helpful, polite and genuinely friendly. If you are disabled in any way then you must ensure that a ground floor room is booked; no lifts and too many idiosyncretic stairs to navigate othewise. Am not sure how wheelchair users are provided for. However, did enjoy the room delivered breakfasts. Will return when next in Peterborough."

"St Ives is a nice place, it still has a tradition, no chain, department store for goodness sake. The Golden Lion is a good base to explore from. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The bar and restaurant is nicely laid out and decorated. Breakfast was excellent. All in all, really nice. Would I stay again? Yes, most definitely."

"Just a night stop but handy to have microwave, sink, crockery and kettle. Lovely to go in early next morning to walk around birds etc. Landscaping around accommodation pretty. Bird area nicely arranged and kept. Highly recommend if in area."
