"If you are going to Stansted I would highly recommend staying at another hotel as there are cheaper ones in the area and this one is not worth the price. Why? The staff. Whilst the room is a nice size with a nice bed the staff are the reason not to stay. "For some reason the rooms are always faulty these days this hotel used to be really good there seem to be some sort of maintenance issue and the staff are really unprofessional and brain dead.. such a shame are most the other branches you can’t really find a fault."

Mel was fantastic and made such a strong impression with how warm, helpful, and attentive she was. We were travelling with our dog, and this place really goes above and beyond. "The hotel was clean, the room well equipped and the staff were all very friendly and efficient. The only criticism we had was the food in the restaurant, whilst very nice, was not the fine dining experience we were hoping for. The menu, which includes burgers and fish & chips, didn’t reflect the surroundings of the dining room."

"Friendly helpful staff, lovely little room, comfortable bed. The bathroom is not the greatest as water pressure was very low to have a nice shower. Sink was blocked, water didn't flow down as the plug was stuck. Not tried breakfast or any food not had time for that. Quite a few eating places around the lodge. Other than the bathroom, it's great for few nights stay, would still chose it again."

"Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Coffee machine in our room and extractor fan in the bathroom did not work..but neither majorly Impacted our stay. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Bar and restaurant were decent. The car park is small and suitable for smaller cars. Location is decent, close to restaurants and shops. "

The pool was disappointing though-the jacuzzi wasn’t working and the changing rooms need renovating. Pool was warm and not crowded. Overall, a wonder stay with delicious breakfast. "
