"Clean room, comfortable beds, spacious room for 4 adults, AC worked well for a European hotel during an extreme heat wave. Breakfast had a good variety. Free bus pass provided which was helpful!"

"Property has no air conditioning with summers getting hotter each year, no refrigerator either. Staff were very helpful though. Hotel is not easily accessible if you plan or walking or carrying your luggage yourself."

"The hotels appearance is overwhelming. The views from the terraces is beautiful. The staff is great. HOWEVER, I would NOT recommend staying during the summer months and confirming the rooms are heated in the cooler months."

"The room was great. It was clean and spacious and had a small useful kitchen where we were able to make a simple dinner. It had good air conditioning, which was very appreciated during a heat wave. It was in a great location in the old town where we were able to walk to all the attractions easily. The cafe downstairs had great food and service. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Lucerne."

"I want to be as upfront as possible. DO NOT book this hotel especially if you prepay. It does not match the description. You think you’re staying in a nice chalet next to the lake. However, where you’re really staying is on the backside of the restaurant across the street. The halls look like a dungeon with no natural light or ventilation. The room on the website looks bright and airy. It is not. There was one window where we could see everyone climbing the outside stairs to their rooms but...

"The air conditioner broke in the middle of a heat wave in the middle of the night. We called downstairs but we were only able to partially restore it after a lot of effort and waking everyone in the room up. The hotel obviously does not maintain the property as well as they could. They should not be charging the prices they do for rooms with no air conditioning. When we checked out, the staff don’t even ask us how our stay was. Some staff were friendly and helpful but others were definitely not....
