"Facility is dingy, they need to turn lights on and get air flow through the facility. Many other Riads have air freshening machines. Additionally, We had an early morning flight and had to use the flash lights on our phone to navigate the hallways.
The breakfast and supper was stale and lacked flavour.
The wood work, ceilings, doors, etc. are remarkable but the facility needs a renovation and is poorly run.

"Don’t stay here unless cheapness or closeness to the train station is imperative. "Great hotel in a nice quiet area of Fes. Lots of good restaurants within a short walking distance from the hotel (if you don’t want to dine at the 3 restaurants on the premises) and plenty of petite taxis that you can flag down to get to the Medina and other attractions."

"Hotel Sahrai was exceptional! A beautifully designed hotel for a great price! Rooms were beautiful and clean and bathroom beautifully designed and spacious. The beds were very comfortable, great pool, fantastic food! , check in with tea and pasties to the room were all special touches. "Definitely no where close to a 5 star Riad more like a 2 star. The rooms smelled putrid. Food was terrible and not prepared by someone who knows how to cook. "It was my first time in Morocco and in Africa. I arrived late at night feeling very disoriented everything was so different that I even thought about flying back to Canada 😅.
Thankfully, Yusuf at reception was incredibly reassuring. He saw I was panicking and told me to take the night to process everything, and he checked in on me. Siham, the manager, gave me helpful tips (like taxi prices) and made sure I was safely picked up from the airport to the riad in the medina.
