"Room was just as advertised and had everything we needed - except hair conditioner. Easy and helpful check-in staff. Clean. The collection of buildings were absolutely stunningly cute and well-maintained, especially for the age, and nice explorable grounds. Not much open in the area or walkable past evening time. Quick cab ride to Stanstead. Beds a bit on the short size, rooms could use fans in the summer. Opening the windows was an option but we were on the road side which was surprisingly...

"Becca who works at reception on the main desk is polite and professional. A fantastic first impression and a major assest to the hotel. The restaurant experience was middle of the road. The chicken Kiev meal arrived and was not as advertised in the menu. I requested a glass of wine twice with my meal and it did not arrive. Overall front of house staff are fantastic. Restaurant staff need to focus more on customers and less on day to day tasks."

"The property is situated in a quiet part of the country, the staff were friendly and very helpful. the rooms were well equipped and spotlessly clean. altogether nothing but an excellent short but enjoyable stop over. Thank you."

"It was great, Very convenient, quiet location and relaxing. I don’t know the details as to what was eco-friendly. Didn’t do breakfast as price was too high. Just have normal bedside tables, the wood stump and small box weren’t big enough or necessary. "
