El Seibo Hotels with Waterparks

"First impressions we love the resort. The style and grounds are great. The staff were good, on the main side, but not as helpful as we have experienced at the Excellence Punta Cana or other resorts. The Excellence side is a different story. The concierge staff was knowledgeable and professional. Although there was a situation where the woman helping us said she upgraded us, but she didn't. We booked the top level room ocean front room. I digress... The excellence bar was great, Rony was the man the whole trip. He made great drinks and was a great representative of the brand. The room was clean, modern and well appointed. We had the two story roof top ocean front room, which was fantastic. The bathroom was nice with a large shower and separate toilet closet. The AC was very good and could freeze you out if you are not careful. The fridge is stocked and top shelf liquor was supplied in the room. The second floor patio was such a wonderful thing, laying out on the cabana bed or dipping in the plunge pool. Truly worth it. The restaurants are difficult to review, such a wide range of quality between the restaurants but one thing, they all use low quality meat. The food truck, Dukes or almost anything in the market kitchen was horrible. Dommo and Brass were the least worst, along with breakfast at Gusto, everything else was horrible.So sad. Overall it was a nice resort but the food situation needs to be looked at by management. Most likely not returning. "

"Have been to several resorts in punta cana, however this one was older and it showed. The place is more concerned about getting you to upgrade to their membership for thousands of dollars. They definitely don’t care/prioritize anyone not in the membership. So don’t fall for the “breakfast buffet in an exclusive spot for a 90 min tour”. Now the rooms- I got one of the “nicer” family suites however my tv stopped working day 2, as well as the phones. The other tv in the kids room, never worked from day 1. When they asked how everything was I told them and nothing was even looked at. The one day our room didnt get cleaned for no reason other than we were forgotten about, we came back from the pool to get ready for our dinner reservations, had 0 towels, so went down to concierge since the phones didn’t work and was told they would let housekeeping know, after an hour went by and we had to leave, we passed the concierge and told him still no towels and he told us its not his problem. I would’ve had no problem reusing yesterday’s towels however the bathroom had these little ants on the sink and knee wall so I couldn’t. Staff isn’t the best, most of them are not friendly. Food was ok, nothing great but not bad. The waterpark was very run down compared to the pictures i went by, and half the slides weren’t even open. I will say The entertainment/activities were great. If you’d ask me and my family, if we’d ever go back to this resort, it’s my first time saying no, we wouldn't."

"We had the worst experience! Do not book here! We had to switch rooms 3 times to get a mediocre room. I booked a luxury ocean front suite and there is nothing close to luxury in this resort. The first room had a scratched up bathtub that appeared from the dumpster. The room we stayed in had a bathroom with broken tiles and mold. We didn’t have hot water at all. Two days of cold water only and the other days barely warm water. The food options were awful. They tried to scam us out of our dinner reservations. We were told we only get two reservations because our reservation was 6 days/5 nights. That is not how this works! I have been to all inclusive resorts and you can make dinner reservations every night. We were also told the only reservation available at 8:45 pm which was a lie. We showed up at 6:30 and only two other tables were full. That happened every night. They want to force you to eat at the buffets. I had diarrhea for 10 days after eating this food for 6 days/5 nights. The only positive was the landscaping and weather was beautiful. The staff didn’t speak any English so it was near impossible to communicate. I do NOT recommend this resort. I wasted my time and money on this resort. I have written an email to the resort and no response. Customer service is terrible."
