"On 8 August 2023 at 13:21, I called Acre of Africa Guest House to open the gate. They answered and said they will open the gate. In South Africa, too many people have hijacked at gates so I left rather than wait for them to respond. They finally called me back 17 minutes later. - but by then it was too late. Waiting for them to open the gate at night could have resulted in my kidnapping and murder - it's a scary thought. Now they're telling me they won't refund my money because I didn't wait at...

"Room were in a good condition except for when it rained the bathroom was flooded with water abit . Gate assistance for opening and closing was a challenge as land and mobile numbers remained unanswered as well as gate intercom . Maybe they should alert guests when functions are being held as the one night we were unable to sleep due to noise levels :-( .... Over rall the room was clean , beds lovely size and jacuzzi a nice feature , breakfast was absolutely brilliant - good service. "

"What a great place! This was truly a great geataway from all the world cup craze when we were there...The only issue to consider is that it's a bit far out - I strongly advise to get a rental car (with GPS!) or have Susan (the very nice and kind owner) take you to and from JNB (the int'l airport) from where you can take the high speed train into Sandton - the main (and safe) part of Jo"burg."
