"Really enjoyed my stay at Tarangire Simba Lodge. The grounds backed onto the park. It was so exciting seeing elephants and other animals around the perimeter, drinking from a natural watering hole. The staff were lovely, and I was lucky to have the owner staying at the same time as they were so engaging and made my stay even better. Outside Tarangire, but a must stay if you're planing a safari in the park. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Elephant Lodge. The staff were friendly and very attentive, the pool was clean, the food was excellen and the rooms were superb. The most amazing thing was the wildlife we could see and hear from the pool, restaurant and our own rooftop terrace. We skipped a trip to the park because the surroundings were so spectacular. Would like to come back very soon!"

"Terrific property with luxurious treetop room , amazing food and wonderful service. No hot water for two days and really could use the pool they are building … but otherwise just perfect!"

"They did not have our booking(pre paid) which is understandable somewhat because they are out in the middle of no where, but there was no attempt on the staffs part to help fix the problem. we ended up leaving 1.5 hours later than we wanted and paid with a Card(got a refund from Hotels.com). the hotel needs to have better service. The refund from hotels.com was easy and service on there side great."

"Grand old historical hotel. Great people and service. Good food choice. The internet was poor though, and the facilities somewhat rundown. "

"Would get 5 star if it wasnt for mosquitoes in the room waking me up. Not much in the area but taxi solves this. Its cheap and clean though"

"It's my second time staying at Baobab. It's a lovely, quiet escape from the downtown area, albeit still very close and convenient. The staff are really lovely, going out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast is also delicious. "
