"We are regular visitors to the Grand, and after a dip around a year ago, are pleased to say the breakfasts are back as good as ever. Our room had been recently decorated and with the exception of loose shelf in the bathroom was in a great condition."

"We had a weekend away and enjoyed our room with a sea view. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. Parking was difficult one night as they had a private function on who took all of the spaces. Staff were always helpful and we would stay again."

"Very pretty but a bit tired. One lady on reception needs to attend customer service training and learn how to smile. The other lady on departure was fantastic though."

"The hotel is only about a year old so the building and all the fittings and furniture are in as-new condition. The staff were all cheerful and a delight to work with. The food was good both breakfast and the evening meals. The location right on the foreshore is attractive with lovely views of the sunrise but it is well away from the centre of Torquay. When I arrived Google maps had the location 300 metres too close to the main part of Torquay so you need to check this before setting a route."

"Well they should warn you that you can't park there on match days if you are staying prior to the game"

"There is no beach view from this hotel nit is about 100 meters removed from the beach and you have to cross a busy road to get to the beach."

"Breakfast excellent extensive choice, room lovely spacious great view with a balcony tastefully decorated . Good parking available onside. Close to all amenities staff helpful. Bad points, the shown pool and jacuzzi were closed due to the local hosepipe ban apparently this was mot communicated in the hotel website or Expedia only when we got there. Shower pressure not great overall it was good."

"This was a quiet break for my wife and I in a nicely presented hotel. The staff were helpful and polite"

"Beautiful hotel. Very attentive staff throughout or staff."

"The hotel provides good value accomodation, and has superb sea views. The breakfast was excellent, and the room was comfortable. Free parking was available."
