"In this high dry & hot weather, I was allotted a room without AC at the top 4th floor, where the ceiling fan was blowing hot air through out the night. Horrible sleep less night experience for ever."

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Elgin Hotel. Our deluxe room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It also had a nice view. We loved the Victorian style of the main building where the reception, bar, lounge and library are located. All the rooms including the dining room were tastefully decorated. Gave some suggestions and feed back to the general manager who was very appreciative of the constructive feed back. "We booked this hotel for its heritage and its connection to various historical figures. What we hadn't counted on was such a warm welcome. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble, and when we were asked what we would like for breakfast on the evening before, we requested some things that weren't on their breakfast menu (We hadn't seen it at that point)and they went out and bought them specially. We honestly cannot wait to visit again."

"We had an excellent stay - property is fantastic . Staff are very eager to help . The property is very close to the local train station - around 5 mins walk . Although the property is on the main road, the rooms are very quiet - especially ones facing away from the road. Overall we enjoyed the stay and will definitely recommend this hotel. "

Only problem I faced while checking out that they could not find my payment which already made during booking the room on hotels.com.There must have some communication gap between hotel and hotel.com causing unnecessary delay in checking out."

"Great location, walkable to the Toy Train. Many restaurants close by. The hotel was able to organise taxis and sightseeing trips. The staff were very helpful. The restaurant was very busy at breakfast but there was no shortage of food. Would stay again."

"We had an amazing stay at ging tea house It is a rare gem hidden in the mountains with breathtaking views. The property manager Mr. Andrew made sure our stay was memorable. He helped us with the directions. He and his team work day and night to make sure we have tasty food for breakfast lunch and dinner and making nice dargeeling tea for us. The property is located in the mountains with lots of greenery and small hikes to explore the tea plantations. Will definitely visit here again. "
