"Hotel is in an ideal position overlooking the lake. Unfortunately our garden view room on the bottom floor was overlooking a large bush so no view of the garden or lake although it did have a patio door with table and chairs on a small shared patio. Unfortunately they are still in the process of renovating the hotel so we had a strong smell of paint in our room as it was just painted 2 days before we arrived which was unpleasant. The biggest disappointment was no spa or swimming facilities yet. ...

"We were returning customers to Low wood bay @ the winander club. We were slightly disappointed to see that spa access was no longer included in Winander rooms but it is a beautiful spa, so we paid the extra £140. We were disappointed to find out if you wanted to borrow some slippers for the spa, they were also chargeable now. And on check out I was very shocked to see they were also now charging £12 per day to park your car if you hadn’t booked directly with them. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed...

"The hotel was amazing with large, clean rooms and beautiful, large grounds with amazing flowers ponds and trees. The breakfast was amazing. The place has lots of history as Beatrix Potter lived there. There was plenty of parking and it is in a great location, near Windermere."

"Our room was 205 room needs a bit of an upgrade plus the floor was running on a slant so if you moved on the bed to quick you could fall out on to the floor apart from that everything was fine staff very helpful food was good I know it's an old building but these things matter also we would have no hesitation coming back to stay again maybe just another room thanks"

"We stayed at the Kings Head last weekend and had a lovely time. The pub itself is gorgeous, decorated beautifully, it is cosy and inviting and located in a lovely spot by the stream.Although the actual car park itself was small this was no problem as we parked literally a couple of minutes away on the lane, perfect as it allowed the opportunity to see a tiny red squirrel busy in a nearby tree. "The setting overlooking the mountains was beautiful and quiet. The B&B itself is wonderful, well kept up and very clean and comfortable. The owners were very nice, helpful and accommodating. Plenty of parking. Breakfast served promptly and was delicious. Getting into Keswick is walkable but uphill on the return (we chose to drive into town). Overall, a wonderful place to stay!"

"Amazing, the photos do not do it justice, lovely cosy cottage a home from home and fully equipped. Great location, short walk to village incl pubs and chippy, also access to walks (which pass through livestick fields so dogs on leads). Grizedale forest was a short drive away with really good (long & short) walks, better for dogs off leads. "
