"We took a spontaneous trip to Malham Cove for a night away. This lovely hotel is down a quiet country road 1/2 a mile from the cove and near to several other pubs and cafes. The building is very old and reached over an old stone bridge or the beck (stream) Parking is available and the room was nicely furnished with views of the water and a very comfy bed. "Excellent service and facilities, nice to have the pool/sauna/hot tub available after a long day walking in the area. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Food at dinner and breakfast was lovely and good value. Room was clean, comfortable and well equipped with kettle, coffee machine, hairdryer, ironing board. Would recommend. "

"The Grassington Lodge is truly minimalist. A very small room, two bath towels, and one hand towel. For the third of three nights they added a bath mat and a bar of soap. The only staff ever present was the cleaning lady and her assistant. She was kind and helpful but certainly not enough to welcome and assist guests. "

"We had a lovely stay at the Lister Arms with our dog and we were all made to feel very welcome. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and we enjoyed dinner and breakfast during our stay. Our dog particularly enjoyed the dog treats and her bowl of sausages at breakfast and there were beautiful walks to take her right on our doorstep. We would recommend and love to go back again."
