"courtyard of hotel very nice; friendly staff. room was not in greatest shape. old furniture, terrible sulphur smell from the bathroom at all times--the water supply? the drains? did not experience this elsewhere in bolivia. convenient location. they tried hard for breakfast, but basic and was not adventuresome enough to have some of it. some of the other places I stayed in bolivia were better value, but it was okay here. "Hotel Aranjuez is very well located, only a few minutes of walking to Palacio Portales, and some good restaurants around. It's also in a quiet and nice tree-lined street. A big avenue is a few minutes away by walking for shopping and more restaurants. The hotel is a grand house with beautiful gardens. We really enjoyed staying there for the calm and relaxed atmosphere. "
