"From the time we were picked up at the airport until the time they dropped us back off, everyone at the Alaia was top notch. Our room was amazing, the pools were really clean and not crowded, the food was good and service was really great. Honestly, I have nothing below great to say about any aspect of the resort. "The hotel staff were fantastic and the view was beautiful. It was quite a ways from San Pedro town which limited dining options for us. The staff booked us a reservation at Mambo with a driver or boat pickup depending on the weather. The breakfast was good but very few options for dinner at the onsite restaurant. If I could do it again, I would rent a golf cart in town for the duration of our stay and book tours that picked us up at the resort dock."

"We had the most lovely, comfortable stay! The staff were amazing! Most helpful, kind, considerate group that I’ve ever encountered. Not intrusive at all, but meet every need, request, and anticipated need. The complimentary boat ride across the split multiple times a day was soo nice. Very clean. Restaurant was great as is the cafe directly across the street. Best fruit smoothies we’ve ever had. Very quiet and peaceful. Can’t wait to go back some day!"

"When you book on Expedia you are not treated the same as you book directly. Do not rebook spa services because if you want to cancel they don’t allow it. The security told me my mother and 16 year old daughter if we left the stray dog at the resort they would kill it so I loaded it onto golf cart and took to ferry. I did address with night manager and they said they wouldn’t kill the dog but who knows. Security walks around with a club and is very intimidating. The beach itself was murky...
