Loved my stay at Royal Kahal. Literally, like a home away from home. Beautiful property overall. The most amazing, personable and accommodating staff (front desk ladies, bar/restaurant/cafe staff, shuttle driver, pool/beach groomer & housekeeping). My wife and I looked at many hotels and resorts while planning our trip to Belize, and we ultimately chose the Royal Kahal Beach Resort’s Superior Beachfront Room. It was the best decision we could have made. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were amazing, warm, personable, and incredibly helpful. We loved the experience so much that we extended our stay by four additional days. The room was immaculate, spacious, and beautifully designed, with a balcony that offered breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. It truly had every bell and whistle you could ask for, making our stay both comfortable and memorable. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend Royal Kahal Beach Resort to anyone visiting Belize.

This was my second year staying at this location for Christmas. I love this hotel everyone is very friendly and attentive to your needs. They really take pride in their job and it reflects throughout the hotel. The security guards are very friendly and make you feel very safe as well. The grounds keeper is the hardest working person I’ve seen in a long time. He’s sees a guest need and step right in and makes sure they have everything they need without hesitation. I will continue to book here every time I visit San Pedro.

The room was not what we were expecting. We felt mislead by the pictures on their website and it felt like a bait and switch. We were supposed to be picked up at the airport and there was noone there whenwe arrived. Our door didn't work properly for most of the time we were there. My wife was ill and the hotel tried to shake us down for more money because my wife soiled the sheets. The hotel manager made her feel humiliated and when she got back to the room she cried. We checked out three days early. I will say the rest of the staff was friendly and I don't fault them.

This is a beautiful place to stay. Our suite had a stunning view of the ocean. It was clean, and the staff were incredible. The location is prefect, away from the loud main strip of San Pedro, but not too far out. Three pool was perfect, in the sun on the morning, and shaded over by the heat of the afternoon. The water taxi is right next door and the airport not far. We cooked in the kitchen and ate in the restaurants, nice to have both options. We would stay here again.

The property is new, clean and safe. We had a 2 bedroom condo with very spacious bedrooms, living room area, dining room and a full kitchen. The staff were very helpful and responded quickly to request.

Excellent location, helpful friendly staff. Spacious modern rooms. We had issues with air conditioning not working for over two days and were begrudgingly assigned another room by management. Our smoke and carbon monoxide detector went off while we were sleeping and wouldn’t stop. Resort staff responded quickly, the “fix” was the remove the detector from the ceiling. I hate when people leave nit picky reviews but this is just a few of the things we noticed at this brand new luxury resort. Resort management needs to complete their punch list to succeed at this level. Bottom line the resort has a ton of positives. Great staff being first and foremost. We never expressed all of the little things we noticed with management but we were on vacation and wanted to relax. Maybe a year from now the kinks will be worked out but we’ll probably find another place to stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Royal Kahal Beach Resort from February 17th-21st. The staff was exceptional—front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, bartenders, and beach staff went above and beyond. The beauty of San Pedro, Belize, and the warmth of its people made this trip unforgettable. The rooms were spacious, beautifully detailed, and well-equipped with conveniences like multiple bathrooms, a washer/dryer, and a living area. The ocean views were breathtaking, and the resort's location on the beach, close to the port for excursions, was perfect. It’s ideally situated near restaurants, activities, and shops. However, I cannot, in good faith, rate the hotel highly due to serious safety concerns. On February 18th, our carbon monoxide detector went off with levels above 400. Despite informing the front desk, the staff seemed unfamiliar with the issue. Maintenance suggested turning off the gas, but the CO levels remained dangerously high. We were left feeling uneasy. The next morning, a friend reported dizziness, which we now suspect was from CO exposure. While the hotel is beautiful, the lack of CO detectors is concerning. I urge management to address this for the safety of future guests.

The room was spotless and like new, the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly, the food was well above par vs other restaurants on the island, pool and beach front are perfect combo shade/sun. Highly recommended Royal kahal. Mr Burt (Bert?), Ms. Marta (Marla?), Mr Brian, Ian, and all the staff really set the place apart!
