"This is a 2 star property with 5 star prices. There is no “white sand beach”. The sand is brownish and the locals harass you on the sand directly in front of the property selling their wares. The Spa is beautiful but there was no one available to give me a manipedi and my massage was atrocious. The room was beautifully appointed but the loud band on Saturday night spoiled the ambiance.
Worst of all, I was told they would call me when my room was ready at check-in, but after sitting in the heat...

"Las Verandas was a great choice. The room was beautiful and spacious with a wonderful balcony and the food was delicious! The grounds are very well maintained and the ground around the pools never gets hot. The concierge was very helpful, booking us a snorkeling trip and providing other helpful information. The one downfall (no fault of Las Verandas) was the no-see-ums, so bring bug spray and use it!"
