"Great location close to Takachiho Jinja, and cozy and neat facility including excellent variety of breakfast. Space is just good for two people, but no desk."

"The stay was excellent and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. If you are driving, you can ask the hotel in advance about parking discount coupons. The hotel is located right next to Amu Plaza Kumamoto, with direct access by elevator, so shopping and dining are very convenient. In addition, the large public bath on the upper floor of the hotel is very comfortable; besides the hot spring baths, there is also a sauna room available for guests to use."

"Liked: Large rooms Did not like: Rigid dining schedule. Food, while plentiful and tasty, was served at a fast pace as the time available for dinner is limited. Private onsen not worthwhile -- water very hot and space cramped. No after dinner option to socialize. Bar very limited and closes (hard close) at 9 pm. Upon asking what people do in the evening we were told-- Onsen (bathe)! It is not everyone's preference to take a hot bath after dinner."

"It was a scenic walk from the lake to the property, we enjoyed it although it was drizzling. The room was nice and comfortable to accommodate 5 of us. We didn’t realize that there was no attached shower room when we booked so was a little shocked when we realized that upon check-in. If you intend to go to the onsen (which you should really go - there are 2 private ones and a big public one), then there’s no big issue with that. The dinner experience was also great, it was an extensive spread and immediately after dinner, there was free drinks at the front desk area. I would love to stay one more night so we could thoroughly enjoy the facilities and the beautiful surroundings!"
