"My fiancée and I had a wonderful stay at The Lind Boracay. The resort sits on a stunning stretch of White Beach with soft white sand and crystal-clear water. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, the food was delicious throughout our stay, and the overall experience was memorable.
However, I want to leave a factual warning regarding the incidental deposit handling for guests using multi-currency debit cards like Wise.
At check-in, a 15,000 PHP deposit hold was placed on my card. At checkout, staff advised that switching the incidental payment to a debit card transaction would return the funds faster. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The system hold remained pending on Wise's end, and despite the hotel issuing a cancellation certificate, the funds were frozen for the maximum 30-day window and only just released today. For future guests, I strongly recommend paying your deposit in cash or using a standard credit card to avoid having your funds locked up for a month.
Outside of that 1 negative, it was a good experience, and we truly enjoyed our time at the resort."
