"Handy location and rooms are fine. Reception staff friendly, welcoming and a pleasure. Night staff on bar told us no food available as the pizza oven was broken, no drinks after 2:30 am as bar was closing (despite reception, telling us it’s open 24 hours for residents), had to charge the drinks to our room and not able to pay for them as we were also told the till was broken, then aggressively told we had to clear out at 3am as they had to setup for breakfast Upon checkout reception confirmed all of this was in fact lies and obviously the staff just didn’t want to do any work"

"The hotel was okay, but a bit tired. My computer wouldn’t connect to the WiFi, and the food in the restaurant was overpriced and would have been better with a normal brasserie price menu. The dining room was the same as the breakfast location and the lighting was too bright, like eating in a cafeteria."

"Nearest shop I found was the Co-op in Kegworth. Room was clean and fine, but there was no info, eg that there's an alarm which goes off if you don't latch the kitchen door, who to contact and how I'm case of need. Prior to arrival, a map of the site showing checkin location would be useful. I booked with hotels.com. I was disconcerted to receive repeated, unexpected, curious-looking emails and phone messages threatening to cancel my booking if I didn't send my government id and a selfie to what looked like an unrelated url. These continued despite having an email from the property confirming my stay. It meant that on my journey felt apprehensive as I didn't know if I would or wouldn't have a booking on arrival. "

"The staff and main building were excellent; however, I was in courtyard in an annex out of shot of lovely sales picture. It was an accessible needs room (I assume due to hotels.com booking) but no cheaper than direct booking. The tv was on a shelf at ceiling height so difficult to watch unless standing. The tap fell off but luckily slotted back on and worked with care. The room door was an internal stable type door so had no insulation or sound proofing meaning people accessing a storage room next door seemed to be in the room along with phone conversations. It was also slightly concerning to come back and find a Land Rover in court yard partially blocking room access followed later by listening to engine ticking over . In fairness for what I wanted the hotel served its purpose; however, for slightly more and an uber ride I could have got sound proofing from airfield plus a pool. It all boiled down to a taxit and convenience "

"What a lovely comfortable stay. Nice beds , pillows and duvet and in a beautiful house. Tea and coffee and a bottle of water on arrival. Could have had breakfast but didn't. There's a pub down the road. Will definitely stay again and go for walks around the area"
