"Apartment & location was excellent. The problem was that the temperatures during our stay was extremely cold. The HVAC wasn’t working properly & I couldn’t sleep the first night thinking the heater was going to blow up trying to get the room to an acceptable temperature. It ran for 12 hours straight overnight and only got the room slightly warm. To took another day to get the unit repaired. Thankfully the 2nd night was warm enough to sleep. "The room with balcony was very nice. The view of the ocean was amazing. Easy access to the ocean and nice pool area. The parking was ok. You had to give your keys to the front desk if you parked behind someone. Daytona sure has changed though. Not the pristine area it used to be. Alot of homeless people. But overall I would stay at the boardwalk again."

"Check-in was very stressful. We arrived around 2:00 p.m. and were told our room wasn’t ready, but that they would call us as soon as it became available. We never received a call. At 7:00 p.m., I finally called the front desk from the pool and was casually told the room was ready. Our room also never received housekeeping service during our stay. When I called the front desk on our last day to ask about it, the only response was, “If you need towels, I’ll send you some now.” This was disappointing and not the level of service we expected from a Hilton property."

"The good: The room is very clean. The bed and pull out mattress was comfortable. The balcony was a perfect view of the ocean. The breakfast is delicious with many options for low calorie and some gluten free. The staff are extra helpful and very friendly. They quickly delivered anything we asked for (sheet set for couch, an extra pillow, and an extra bath towel). It's easy to check out pool towels. Both elevators were fast. This is our second year coming to this hotel on vacation. The one bad: We were there from Monday - Wednesday. When we arrived, the pool was filthy with sand, leaf litter, dead bugs, disintegrating tissues/paper, and feathers. It didn't smell or taste like it was well chlorinated. It was finally vacuumed on the last morning of our stay, so we never got to enjoy a clean pool. The foot shower is a harsh jet stream which makes washing sand off your feet painful so lots of people walk through the pool instead. Last year the pool was well maintained, so this was a major disappointment."
