"Lovely building out in the countryside, but with good access to surrounding areas. Large rooms, good decor, comfy bed (with the freshest sheets I have ever smelt) and good shower. Good food with great service from the front of house team. Will choose Himley again whenever I am next in the area."

"Rooms was very clean and whilst no frills it had all of the amenities available anyone could need, including for cooking. Safe free parking was ideal. The location of the hotel is excellent. Just beside is the Zoo and Castle. The town centre is a short walk as is The Black Country museum"

"One day before my family's planned arrival, I received a call from the operator's husband to say there was no hot water and he wanted to give me the opportunity to book an alternative stay. I understood this to mean a refund would be given in this event. It was late to book elsewhere so initially my family agreed to go regardless but as no further communication was forthcoming despite several attempts I booked elsewhere. "Stayed for one night and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. A warm welcome, excellent room and facilities, fabulous breakfast, and I even got to play with the dogs, a couple of red Welsh collies, after breakfast. All staff were so welcoming and helpful. "

"Absolutely fabulous stay. The hosts were lovely and personable, perk fast was delicious, and it was so quiet and cozy. Is was a great base to do our first week of exploring. I couldn’t recommend Rob and Jacquie enough, especially if you want somewhere out of the way that takes care of all the littles details. "

"You get what you pay but very run down property and amenities were not up to scratch. Really noisy building so if you are wanting a good night sleep then good luck. Check in was really easy and good but front door seems to be not closed properly by others so never felt fully safe during my stay. Again it does the job and you get what you pay for "
