"My wife and I had a decent stay at the Royal Marine, though it was a bit of a mixed bag. The building looks magnificent, and although a little tired, has fantastic potential with some TLC. Our room was spotless, and we enjoyed paying extra for the sea view; watching the ferry terminal activity was actually quite relaxing. However, the hotel is feeling a little run-down and in need of some modernising. We also found the breakfast disappointing, which let the experience down. Whilst we enjoyed our visit to Dunoon, I doubt we'll be rushing back anytime soon."

"The room was clean and the hotel was full of charm. We had a lovely stay. The bed was not as soft as I prefer but we still slept well. The location is wonderful"

"The room was dated, pillows awful and bed was not comfortable. I doubt I would stay again as the price did not reflect in the room standard. We attended a Wedding which was faultless, staff were fantastic and food excellent, shame about the room. "

"This place was fine. Location relatively close to the airport, but not close to much else. Few restaurants or stores in the area. The in-house restaurant was quite satisfying."

"For a 5 star hotel breakfast was not on point. It was a hot plate option. Dog friendly hotel but that does not mean dogs should be on seats. This was like a 5 star butlins. This hotel lives on a name. "
