Right in the middle of Cong and all the tourist sights. Plenty of other restaurants and bars within a couple of blocks for a large variety of choices .

The Ryan Hotel was very clean and the room was very comfortable The shower was modern and plenty of hot water The breakfast was awesome and the owner was very helpful and friendly The bar was great and the food was excellent I highly recommend the Ryan Hotel

The Ryans hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. I need a gluten-free diet and they were obliging with options to choose from. The room was a good size and the bed comfortableone critism is there is no lift

Good place to stay
Older building but kept tidy. We were driving and ample parking behind building, desk was unattended at our random arrival time but the bell summoned someone quickly and we were off to our room. Comfortable bed, nice shower pressure, could have used a small fan to circulate air better for sleeping comfort. Nice outside patio area for drinks or dinner as well as inside bar and restaurant. Food was adequate and service was friendly and efficient. Nice hot and cold breakfast included the next morning.

Our stay at the Ryan Hotel was terrific. We only stayed overnight, but the staff was so helpful. We arrived for a walking tour, and our room wasn't ready yet. But, they held our bags, and even carried them upstairs for us, as soon as the room was ready. The onsite restaurant/pub The Crow's Nest had good food. Cong is a small town so everything is walkable. The bust stop is located just outside the hotel doors. Our room wasn't air conditioned, but Cong is so peaceful and quiet, we slept well with the windows open for a breeze.

Great place to stay
We have stayed in Ryan’s Hotel a number of times and would thoroughly recommend it. A perfect location in the heart of Cong. Walking distance to Ashford Castle and many of the film locations of ‘The Quiet Man’. Staff at Ryan’s are very friendly and helpful. It is always a pleasure to stay here

Cong is a quaint little town, according to the desk staff, they have a population of about 40. It is an island in the river. The food in the pub next to the hotel is excellent. The morning breakfast was very good. The people were great. There are a number of attractions close at hand. I spent most of my time and money buying woolens in a shop just down the street. Seventy some years ago "The Quiet Man" was filmed here and it ties into a number of the attractions. If you fish, this is the place.

Lovely area and the room was very nice / just a bit on the small side - that is not unexpected in an older building so be prepared. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would stay there again.

overnight stay in attractive village
This was an overnight stop chosen for convenient location & the fact that food was available in house as we did not know what to expect in the village. It was certainly well situated and very convenient for all that Cong has to offer. There were loads of places to stay which appeared more attractive to us. Ryans public spaces seem in need of a refresh, dirty stair carpet and cooking aroma does not give a good impression. We were made most welcome however and there is a pleasant outdoor seating area to the bar/restaurant. Not many personal touches overall but outdoor floral baskets & containers were terrific.
