"Bit of a mixed bag. Our room was upgraded on arrival, which was a good start, but then told that anyone who doesn't book directly from their website has to pay £15 per person per day to use the spa. I guess this is their way of making back the price difference. Room was great. Dinner wasn't enjoyable, I would suggest avoiding the restaurant other than for breakfast. Food wasn't up to scratch, white wine brought out warm after a long wait, and surly service from one particular member of staff....

"I had a one night stay at the pecking Mill and I arrived around 9:30pm. Even though the other guests had all gone to bed and there was no one in the pub, the landlord was friendly and accommodating, he was willing to cook me some chips as I hadn't eaten much that day. We had a good chat about travels also. The room was clean and comfortable and I have no complaints about staying there and I would stay again. Thanks Jeff! "
