We felt to transported to hundreds of years in the past in terms of the architecture and the style of interior furnishings. At the same time, it had all of the service amenities, quality of fixtures and furnishings, food anf service that is expected of a five star hotel. Well worth the price of our stay, we so wish to return."

"We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights to explore Gloucester and surrounding area. The hotel was in the perfect location on outskirts. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and good size. The hotels amenities were good too including areas to relax and enjoy a drink in the evening."

"Beautiful place, with excellent staff. We were unluckily because they celebrate weddings and we arrive with a wedding on-going. The music was fine (not too loud) the guest were fine, normal noise for a wedding. The kids fron the wedding were under our window, playing shouting and screaming (normal for kids) but it was very late night and very early morninig so we did not have too much rest. We will come back but we will make sure is not a wedding day."

"Well appointed hotel with lovely views across the Nailsworth valley. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable with a huge bed. Didn't use the restaurant for dinner, but breakfast is excellent. We have stayed here three times now and have not been disappointed. "
