"This hotel has a vintage, boutique feel. The bar is also where you check in and is open 7am-11pm. Make sure to ask for the WiFi password when you check in. There is only street parking available. The rooms are small but cozy. The staff is very friendly. The location is within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants, as well as the St Charles trolley."

No breakfast, but they have coffee and some snacks free in the lobby. There is a sign in the room about housekeeping by request which is fine with me. "Amazing breakfast and hospitality. Ideal New Orleans stay in the garden district walkable to everything. Rooms are on the smaller side but comfortable and good amenities. Gardens and property and location are superb. Tons of space and comfortable hang out areas in the open terrace. Loved the stay. Highly recommended."

"We had such a great, relaxing stay here. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Every detail inside and out was gorgeous. We fully enjoyed having a drink out on the patio area right after we checked in and staying up late at the bar and talking to the guy who managed the property. We found out he grew up around San Jose which is close to us. He really made our first night so enjoyable. Our room was beautiful, very clean and quiet. "Beautiful southern home, minimum amenities and crickety bed. I thought it was located in a remote part of the city, but once you get to know the city, it's close to 91 Bus and Charles Street trolley. One of America's best bakeries is located only a few steps away from the location. Other than that, I dont know what to say after staying here for 2 days."

"The Fairchild House is very charming, and all in all, is a nice place to stay, with reasonable rates. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was plentiful and good. Shrimp and grits on the weekend was so good, my husband became a convert. My biggest complaint is the tiny shower stall which needs something to make the shower floor non-slip. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were almost useless. The place was clean enough, with minor exceptions."
