"Caroline is a gem. She has the guest travel experience nailed! The dining area is well stocked for use with your own food. There's a water pot for tea and coffee here, as well as your room. There's cold water & milk in the room fridge. Ample space in our room for two. I love that the Scottish use ceramic cups vs paper cups often used in the states. She has really thought of everything to make your stay a pleasant one."

"Hotel was under renovation and their was a fault on the fire alarm panel both mornings which didn't make the stay feel all that safe with the major renovations going on. Their was no curtains over the window you could clearly see where the pole was taken out the extractor fan didn't work in the bathroom so the window was constantly open and didn't look like it could close. After the stay I recieved another bill from the hotel which km disputing through hotels.com as I had paid for the room...

"Great place for an overnight stay or two. Easy to find ample parking either on street or to the rear of the property. Great little place, decent clean and well kept. Room was comfortable and slept well. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast and easy check in and out."

"Laura, the owner is warm, thoughtful & helpful. Lovely & comfortable with tea, coffee & amazing shortbread available in the lounge area. Breakfast was cooked to order with several options. Bonus: path out the gate to the castle & town"
