"This is such a special place! A little oasis tucked away where you'd least expect it. The garden gives a wonderful chance to retreat after a busy day in Paris, and indoors, it feels so comfortable and welcoming. The decor is beautiful, everything is clean, the beds are comfortable, the bath is luxurious. Breakfast is great, and vegans can be accommodated. The staff (we met Nina and Pearl) are helpful and we felt so at home here. Cannot wait to come back, and we will definitely recommend."

"My partner and I had a short but very lovely stay at Hôtel Folie and we can’t wait to stay again. "Room was spacious and nicely decorated. The common areas also were tastefully decorated. The hotel is very close to the Gare de Lyon and therefore quite convenient. The bed was a bit hard and I requested 2 extra pillows but never got them. When I followed up, I was told housekeeping had gone for the night and front desk could not help because only one person was there. The bathroom was beautifully renovated but the water pressure was quite low. Breakfast was very nice although pricey. The day staff on the front desk were very efficient in ordering the taxi and very courteous."

"Bizarre concept. Self check in (which was fine) but the room size was more microhotel and not luxurious for the money. Bathroom was in the middle of the space (which was only about 8 feet wide) bathroom sink in the middle of the room. But very cool concept - minimalistic and sleek. The bed was pushed up again the window so you could only access it by climbing over your partner. IPAD controlled everything, but it was super clean and interesting for sure!"

"Wonderful place to stay, staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable - need more drawers though. Bathroom was good size and clean. The view was stunning. Location is perfect, right next to Gare de Lyon transit hub and short walking distance to Gare d’Austerlitz. The breakfast buffet was fantastic - not recommended if you’re trying to lose weight 😁 Was very safe walking around, that was not limited to this area - but all the areas we visited We would stay there again and highly recommend this Courtyard location 💜"

"The outside of the hotel is filthy. It smells of urine and is not the best of neighborhoods. I guess there is not much that Novotel there can do about it, but the construction work, the porta potties, the stench are a downer. Breakfast is nothing great. They feed you the same stuff everyday. And its a limited menu."
