"This was roughly our 15th time visiting the property over the past 10 years. The relationships that we have built with employees that are still currently working there are amazing. When they see us, we are welcomed with smiles and open arms. The spa is primo. The Sonne Club and its staff, Ignacio, Rafael, Luis, Francisco, and Veronica, are top notch. We didn't get the name of a manager that we met, but he was extremely helpful when a situation arose, and he made it right. I would fully recommend this property."

"The hotel was nice, there areas that weren't cooled efficiently, especially in some restaurants. The pool water was too warm . FYI there were a lot of children at the resort make sure you book at the hotel next door if that is an issue."

"I cannot say enough about this resort. I was there for a friends weekend with my bestie and we could not have chosen a better place. The drinks were strong and plentiful, the food was enjoyable (and bonus, you did not need reservations for most places!), the property was maintained wonderfully, and there were also pool chairs available (might be because we were there in low season, but still appreciated!). I especially appreciated there being a family side and an adults side (as a mom traveling without her kids for a change!). The staff also went way above and beyond. I dropped my phone while out in the Zona Romantica the night before we departed and was freaking out (understandably). Jennifer, in Concierge, went WAY above and beyond to do sleuthing between out Uber drive (who was also fantastic) and Find My Phone location services. I ended up getting it back with credit card and IDs intact and would not have been able to do so without her help. I don't normally want to repeat places but Secrets will be in future vacation plans for sure. Thank you to all the staff! (and special should out to Alejandro, our butler!)"

"The staff throughout the hotel were attentive, friendly, and consistently polite, which made our stay very enjoyable. The buffet offered a wide variety of flavorful options, and the rooms were exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The hotel is in a great location. If you’re planning to visit the Malecón, it’s about a 15-minute walk, and we felt safe walking there during our stay. In addition to the buffet, the hotel has two restaurants that require dinner reservations. We tried Corazón Contento, the Mexican restaurant. The food was decent, but it wasn’t particularly memorable, so I don’t think you’d be missing out if you decided to skip it. There’s also an Italian restaurant on the property, although we didn’t have the chance to try it. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely consider returning."
