It is certainly not true. Otherwise, why you stayed for 3 nights without any complaint during the stay? You may not happy with rate as it's public holiday period. We have an on site duty manager standby 24 hours a day for helping our guests. It's understandable every aircon and TV operate differently. It's just a phone call away. The electronic door lock is working. Otherwise, you wouldn't able to get in or out. In fact, our accommodation is very popular among families, couples and all sorts of travellers over the last 14 years. For the last 2 weeks or so, our accommodation was fully booked. Many of them stayed for over a week. We are not perfect, but provide enjoyable, spacious accommodation at very reasonable rates. For comparison, the rate you paid for 4 people in a seaview 2-bedroom apartment is even significantly cheaper than a standard hotel room in Christchurch. It's incredible value for money.

No one would stay if the apartment was in the condition as you described when you checked in. We clean and disinfect every unit thoroughly before new guests check in. It is the guest's responsibility to open windows and turn on ventilation fan to keep the place dry during a stay.As per tradition of serviced apartments in NZ/AU, we don't provide room service during guests' stay and treat them as their private home away from home. In your case, we did provide extra set of towels at your request at no extra costs. If we operated as a hotel and provide daily service, the rate would have to go up by 20-40. For an apartment has double size of average hotel studio unit and costs around 2/3 of typical hotel rooms, it is an incredible good value for money.

We care about quality of services very much, especially in hygiene and safety aspects. We will absolutely not let anyone to stay in any of our apartments if entry door is not lockable. So do you. All linens are provided by Alsco who provides all major hotels as well. The complex has excellent coverage of Wifi in front part of the building with speed around 30-100Mbps (You won't find this kind of speed in most hotels). Bedrooms at back may not have perfect reception, but all living areas are located in front of the building with good coverage. For units that without a laundry, a communal laundry is provided free of charge. The complex is due for a renovation. However, the prices offered reflect this. For a 2-bedroom seaview apartment for 4 people, our price is even less than a 4-star hotel room for 2 people. It's very reasonable indeed.Unlike hotels, all units have large openable windows. Being on seaside, dusts are inevitable part of a natural living. Unlike carpet, our light-coloured solid maple flooring will not hide dusts or bugs or virus.All units are double-glazing with air-conditioner for a comfortable living indoor if outdoor is not suitable.Since opening, we have accommodated thousands of families and had no safety issue.

Thanks for getting our attention.TV is working, just need to get used to it. Every TV is different. The Panasonic heatpump is definitely not that old. It has a quiet mode that reduces noise.

As a serviced apartment, we don't have someone man the reception 24 hours a day. Otherwise, we have to charge a lot more.We can accommodate after hour bookings with short notice, but we do need time to get ready and walk to the reception, especially to these without a firm ETA.We answer calls around the clock.
